2017年5月26日上午,应四川大学化学学院邀请,雷根斯堡大学Oliver Reiser教授访问我院,并在化学馆321报告厅进行了以“Converting hay to gold with modern spinning wheels: Shining light on furans and pyrroles utilizing mag(net)ic catalysts”为题的学术报告,介绍了其研究小组在光催化和不对称催化方面的工作。
Professor Reiser, born August 11, 1962 in Hamburg, studied chemistry at the universities of Hamburg, Jerusalem and Los Angeles (UCLA). He obtained his PhD in 1989 at the University of Hamburg with Prof. A. de Meijere. Then he spent 2.5 years as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. R. D. Miller in IBM Research Center and Prof. D. A. Evans in Harvard University. In 1992 he moved to the University of Gottingen as assistant professor working in the field of stereoselective synthesis and catalysis taking under special consideration the application of high pressure in liquid phases. In 1996 he moved to the University of Stuttgart as associate professor. In November 1997 he moved to the University of Regensburg as full professor.
Professor Reiser has more than 240 publications in catalysis, synthesis of unnatural amino acids and peptide foldameres, natural product synthesis and medicinal chemistry. He also received a lot of awards, including 2001 Novartis Chemistry Lectureship Award, 2006 CSIR Lectureship, 2008 JSPS Lectureship, and 2012 Fellowship for Innovative Teaching.
