RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Prof. Wang's research interests focus mainly on the fundamental understanding of environmental catalysis and its industrialization, including catalytic materials, rare-earth materials, emission control catalysts and cracking catalysts. His research direction mainly includes:

1.      Emission control catalysts and catalytic materials

2.      Catalytic combustion of methane and catalytic purification of industrial volatile organic compounds (VOCs)

3.      Catalytic cracking and high-temperature thermophysical properties of endothermic hydrocarbon fuel

EDUCATION AND ACADEMIC CAREER:

Prof. Wang has published more than 60 scientific papers as a first author or corresponding author. As a principal investigator, he presides 20 research projects such as National Key Research and Development Program of China (2016YFC0204903), National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program) (21972098), National Defense Science and Technology Project (Major Program) (JG2012036JG2013029JG2014080) and so on. He attained the first prize of Sichuan Province for Science and Technology Progress (20132017). As a core team member, he participated in the establishment of Sinocat Environmental Technology Co. Ltd. based on the university-industry-research collaborative innovation mode and shareholding system. He established production line of high-performance oxygen storage materials and high-temperature resistant materials with high surface area processing completely independent intellectual property rights. He also built production line and achieved industrialization of exhaust gas purification catalysts for four-type vehicles (gasoline vehicles, motorcycles, natural gas vehicles and diesel vehicles). The obtained products are used by well-known enterprises at home and abroad (Yuchai Group, Weichai Group, China FAW Group, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Suzuki Group, Yamaha Motor Corporation and so on), and the accumulative sales volume reach more than RMB 5 billion.
